Prices for the Skoda Octavia Hybrid 2026: New mild hybrid joins the middle class

The Skoda Octavia has received a new mild-hybrid powertrain in Australia, available in both liftback and wagon body styles, but only in the base Select trim.

The new mild hybrid variants of the Czech midsize car are due to appear in Australian showrooms in April 2026, replacing the previous 110TSI Select and Sportline.

The Octavia Select Hybrid (mHEV), as it is officially called, costs $41,990 excluding on-road costs or $43,990 excluding on-road costs as a liftback.

The wagon version is priced at $43,490 on-road or $45,990 drive-away.

This makes it more expensive than the previous, purely petrol-powered Select 110TSI, which costs $41,990 as a liftback and $43,990 as a station wagon.

The new variants use a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque, paired with a 48V mild hybrid system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

These outputs are equivalent to those of the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder in the existing Select 110TSI, which has an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
