The latest Palisade was launched here in late 2025 in the only Calligraphie trim level with a single powertrain, a 2.5-liter turbo-petrol four-cylinder hybrid. And this despite the fact that its predecessor was offered with two powertrains and, at the end of its lifespan, also with two equipment variants.

Among Hyundai’s SUVs in Australia, only the similarly sized – but electric – Ioniq 9 is more expensive. Buyers looking for a three-row SUV that’s more affordable than the Palisade or Ioniq 9 can opt for the boxy Santa Fe, which offers a choice of gasoline or hybrid power.

There’s currently only one powertrain available for the Australian Palisade, but a non-hybrid 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine is on the way.
