As it launches its updated range Daily commercial vans and trucks, Iveco has reaffirmed its commitment to its Australian customers and the brand has actively worked to improve reliability and customer service.
In conversation with Car Expert, Iveco Australia Head of Business Operations Glen Dyer said the company was conscious of its reputation and had taken measures company-wide to not only improve its position in the market but also ensure its customers were not inconvenienced.
“We can’t afford to keep people off the streets – we just can’t,” Mr Dyer said.

“Because it not only affects their livelihood, but of course it also ruins our reputation.
“So that was probably one of the most important plays for us in the last few years,” he said.
As well as an updated daily van and cab/chassis range – which also includes a new eight-speed torque converter automatic from German manufacturer ZF – Iveco has introduced new systems and procedures across the company, such as better training for its dealer network, according to Dyer.
“We are trying to restore our reliability, which we are doing – but also the support.
“So yes, this is a crucial point – and in our key measurements (whether customers recommend our products) we have been very focused on ensuring that this value increases year on year.
“If you look back three years, they weren’t where they should be. And now they’re pushing up – and I think in the last two years they’re up about 20 per cent,” Mr Dyer revealed.
Iveco has also doubled the warranty period for its light commercial vehicles from three years to six years. However, the kilometer limit of 250,000 km remains.
“I think there will be (assurance) that we have confidence in the product…confidence in the longevity (of the product).
“That’s why we’ve increased the warranty across the board and ensured we get great deals on extended warranties, repair and maintenance packages. Cost to the operator is key for us.”
The new cab chassis price of the 2026 Iveco Daily 50C with the Tradie Made package is $77,929 before on-road costs. Further pricing for the range will be announced in the coming months.
