Ford Puma recalled | Daily Sparkz

Definitely Ford Puma Compact SUVs have been recalled again due to an issue that could cause key safety features to not function properly in a crash.

“During the manufacturing process, the Restraint Control Module (RCM) was loaded with an incorrect configuration,” Ford Australia said in its recall notice.

“Therefore, if an incorrect replacement part is installed in the system, warnings will not be displayed and the seat belt pretensioners and airbags may not function as intended in the event of an accident.

“If an airbag does not deploy or the seatbelt pretensioner does not activate properly, the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants in the event of an accident can increase.”

Ford Australia reminds you that you must have your vehicle checked by a dealer even if work was carried out as part of a previous recall for this fault in September 2023. This previous recall affected 307 vehicles.
