There have been no further technical changes, meaning the Civic Type R continues to use a high-revving 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 235kW of power and 420Nm of torque.

This is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with automatic rev matching, with drive sent exclusively to the front wheels.

Other performance benefits include adaptive dampers, Brembo brakes, a limited-slip differential and the signature three-exhaust exhaust system, as well as 19-inch black alloy wheels, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and red-trimmed sport seats.
