According to Forbes, Beyoncé has officially become a billionaire, cementing her status as one of the most commercially successful musicians of all time.
The American superstar has now become the fifth musician to amass a ten-figure fortune according to Forbes, joining an elite group that includes Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and her husband Jay-Z, whose net worth Forbes estimates at $2.5 billion (£1.85 billion).
Earlier this month, Forbes valued Beyoncé at $800 million (£593 million), but a series of lucrative ventures have since pushed her fortune to over $1 billion.
A key driver was their 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which grossed nearly $600 million, making them one of the highest-grossing tours of the decade. Beyoncé further boosted her profits by self-producing and distributing the accompanying concert film under a direct deal with AMC Theaters, securing almost half of the film’s $44 million (£33 million) worldwide box office.
Their momentum continued in 2024 with the release of Cowboy Carter, an album celebrating country music’s Black roots. The project received critical acclaim and was named Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. This was Beyoncé’s first time winning the top prize, despite four previous nominations.
According to Forbes, the accompanying Cowboy Carter tour generated more than $400 million in ticket sales and an estimated $50 million in merchandise revenue. The tour featured Jay-Z, two of the couple’s three children and former Destiny’s Child bandmates.
While the tour broke ticket records at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Paris’ Stade de France, demand was also uneven with some organizers cutting prices to fill seats. Despite this, Beyoncé commanded the highest ticket price of any British artist in 2025: premium seats cost £950, while tickets started at £71.
Other sources of income included a high-profile Netflix halftime show on Christmas Day that grossed an estimated $50 million, as well as another $10 million from a series of Levi’s advertising campaigns.
Elsewhere, Bloomberg has listed Selena Gomez as a billionaire, citing a net worth of $1.3bn (£962m). Forbes disputes this assessment, instead valuing Gomez at around $700 million (£518 million).
For Beyoncé, however, the numbers are now indisputable, making her one of the richest entertainers in the world and underscoring the growing power of artists who control not only their music, but also their tours, films and brands.
