I feel like I fast forwarded four years. I can’t believe my son just graduated from Temple and my daughter just went there. Above. As my son attended college for four years, it became clear that it was also her first choice. She saw how much fun her brother was having and how much he loved being in the city. During our many visits with him she also fell in love and I understand that because it is a beautiful campus with lots of great things to do in the city.
Her other top choice was Pitt, but the long, boring drive to Pitt and the fact that she was offered less tipped her and ours. It’s definitely nice that we can help her or pick her up within an hour and a half. We (including them) only wish that both children had spent at least one year together at Temple.

When we were considering which dorm she would live in, we all knew we didn’t want her to live in the White Hall Temple University dorms like our son did. (Afterwards he lived at the Temple Nest Apartments)
Although Whitehall is cheaper, it is a bit off campus, which I didn’t like that much. Our son also had a quad, but it didn’t have a small kitchen or living room.
While I packed, Frank had to inspect everything. He loves sitting in my car.
As you can see, she gets excited when I take selfies with her.
Our daughter lives at Morgan Hall North in a four-bed room with a kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. She was also very lucky to be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city, which was what she had dreamed of.

Dorm kitchen in Temple Morgan Hall North
I don’t have a photo of the kitchen fully assembled and cleaned up as her roommates’ parents were still working in it when we left. They were the last to raise their daughter.
On the left side of the refrigerator there are four compartments in which the four residents each have space for their food.

The living room is directly opposite the table and kitchen and also offers a great view.
Overall, it’s just a really nice dorm apartment.

Full list of things we purchased for her dorm room at Morgan Hall North
Since she has a kitchen, she brought her brother’s old kitchen utensils from his student apartment that I bought at the thrift store. However, her only roommate brought completely new things with her, so we took these used things home with us.
To say she is thrilled with her living spaces is an understatement!
It was hard to leave her, but it made it easier that she was so ready to be alone. My husband and I cried and she pretty much laughed at us. And it reminded me of the time my parents put me on a plane to fly here to the US and start my internship. I was so ready and now I can’t imagine how difficult it was for her. Especially because I never came back!
Bye,
