In a fast-paced conversation with Daily Sparkz, AI creative expert Matt Wills reveals that we are not just witnessing technological change, we are in the midst of a productivity revolution. As mass corporate layoffs dominate headlines, Wills argues that AI is currently a radical augmentation tool that can increase individual productivity 10x or even 100x. For those willing to adapt, he describes this as the “perfect opportunity” to master these tools before they become a must-have.
Wills, the founder of consulting firm Quietly Smart, offers insight into his advanced workflow: He practically “lives” in Claude Code for iterative development. However, he doesn’t rely on a single model. He advocates a “homebase” strategy, typically using ChatGPT to clarify goals and generate high-quality prompts for external tools such as image generators. One piece of advice that stands out is to avoid expensive “prompt packs.”
According to Wills, AI’s best trigger is itself; Simply asking a model to write a structured prompt for you will produce far better results. He even employs a “switch” strategy, in which one LLM examines the code created by another to detect errors or logical inconsistencies.
Looking ahead to 2026, Wills predicts that while STEM and coding will largely be “solved” by AI, areas like design and video will remain human-centered. Because design requires subjective taste and video currently lacks granular control over timing and framing, keeping people in the loop remains essential. Beyond technology, Wills emphasizes a sound business philosophy of “under-promising and over-delivering” while maintaining radical transparency. Now based in Bangkok, Wills encourages everyone to use AI as a daily conversation partner to define their own future.
