2026 Subaru Trailseeker price and specifications

Pre-orders for this have begun Subaru Trailseekera new electric SUV that is scheduled to arrive in Australia in the second quarter (April to June) of 2026 and will then serve as a battery-powered counterpart to the Outback.

It’s related to the Solterra midsize electric SUV, but features a more Outback-like design – so much so that it actually carries the E-Outback nameplate in Europe.

Price is slightly higher than the petrol Outback range, coming in at $62,490 before on-road costs in Wilderness Apex guise. In contrast, the Trailseeker costs $67,990 before it hits the road.

The Solterra, which has a less boxy body, costs between $63,990 and $69,990 plus on-roads.

The two electric SUVs will be joined by a third, the Uncharted, mid-year, although the three-row Getaway large SUV, launched in the US this month, is not yet available in Australia.

All four electric SUVs were developed together with Toyota, which offers slightly revised versions in its product range. The Solterra is partnered with the bZ4X, the Trailseeker with the bZ4X Touring (due here mid-year), the Uncharted with the C-HR+ (due here in 2027), and the Getaway with the Highlander.
