However, from March 13 to April 9 this year, GAC is offering the Premium for $30,990 drive-away and the Luxury for $35,990 drive-away. This is limited to the first 600 units.

During the same period, GAC is running a promotion where potential buyers can test any GAC product and take part in the draw for a free Aion UT.
Both Premium and Luxury use a 60kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing an electric range of 430km on the WLTP cycle and an energy consumption of 16.4kWh/100km.
It can charge up to 11kW on AC and up to 87kW on DC.
The Aion UT is front-wheel drive, like the GWM Ora (currently available from $33,990 on-road) and the BYD Dolphin (from $29,990 before on-roads), as well as the upcoming MG 4 EV Urban. The MG 4 and the upcoming Geely EX2, on the other hand, have rear-wheel drive.
Its single electric motor produces 150kW of power and 210Nm of torque, surpassing the base BYD Dolphin Essential (70kW/180Nm) and the GWM Ora in power but not torque (126kW/250Nm).
With a range of 430km, it also outperforms all members of the Dolphin range (340-427km) and the Ora range (380-400km).
It is 4270 mm long, 1850 mm wide and 1575 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2750 mm. This makes it 105mm shorter than a Toyota Corolla hatchback, but 60mm wider and has a 110mm longer wheelbase. The trunk offers 321 liters.

GAC offers an eight-year, unlimited kilometer warranty and an eight-year, 200,000 km battery warranty on its vehicles. Also included are five years of roadside assistance provided through the GAC dealer network and 2GB of free data per month for the first two years.
The brand has previously confirmed that it will not offer the cheapest models in their respective segments.
“Our operational strategy in the Australian market is accurate pricing and precise positioning. We want to establish ourselves as a mid-top brand, but with very high quality and competitive prices,” said Wei Haigang, president of GAC International, in November 2025.
“We don’t want to set a lower price, so you can see that our price comes with a relatively higher configuration or equipment.
“We cannot choose to set a lower price just for the sake of setting a low price, because without profits we cannot make our business sustainable.”
GAC plans to bring more than ten models to Australia over the next five years, aiming to offer a range of body styles (cars, SUVs, people movers and light trucks) and powertrains (petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric and extended range electric).
The Chinese brand launched here last year with three models: the petrol-powered Emzoom small crossover SUV; the Aion V electric midsize SUV; and the plug-in hybrid M8 people mover.
