Saleen unveils new S11 supercar at LeMay Museum

Saleen opens a new chapter in super sports cars.

In the 2000s, the Saleen S7 became one of the most exciting and radical supercars in the world. Its dramatic proportions, beefy engine, butterfly doors and robust performance made it an instant icon and one of the crown jewels of American performance to this day. As the Saleen S7’s reign came to an end, the Saleen S5S Raptor concept supercar emerged as a possible successor to the S7, but it never entered production.

However, a new Saleen supercar is finally breaking cover, and it’s the Saleen S11, making its debut at the LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington. The new Saleen supercar comes at the end of a special exhibition curated by Steve Saleen called “The Birth of the American Supercar,” which features some of the most influential American performance cars, right up to the new Saleen S11, which has just hit the market.

In an exciting enthusiast-focused opportunity, Saleen is letting the public vote on various design elements of the final version of the S11, and after 25 years have passed since the S7’s launch at the turn of the millennium, enthusiasts themselves will have the opportunity to help shape the legacy of its anticipated successor. Over the next year, Saleen will reveal more details about the new supercar, including some of the key details about its engineering and performance capabilities. After the S7, the Saleen S11 has a esteemed heritage to live up to.
