Looking for celebrity events at SXSW? Here’s another one to watch! Podcast Movement’s Evolutions has added several names you know to its live programming lineup.
The evolution of the podcast movement is bringing big names to SXSW
The free event will feature several keynote speakers, including actor and SAG-AFTRA leader Sean Astin (The Goonies, The Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things), who will give the keynote speech on Sunday. Actor Penn Badgley, known for You And gossip Girlwill appear as part of a live performance of the Companion Podcast.
Actress and musician Maya Hawke, known for her role as Robin Buckley in the Netflix series Stranger Thingswill appear as a guest during a live recording Broken record Podcast. The performance is expected to combine storytelling, music and conversation.
Another special moment will take place on Saturday, March 14, when Companion Podcasts hosts an evening of live performances and storytelling, led by an acoustic set from multi-platinum singer, songwriter and record producer Andy Grammer.
According to Team Podcast Movement, the goal of the event is to bring podcast creators, media leaders and audiences together for a weekend of live recordings and conversations. Others joining the notable cast include internet personality MrBallen (John Allen), actress Kensington Tallman (the voice of Riley Anderson in Disney and Pixar). Inside Out 2), actress Allison Dunbar (For all humanity, Yellowstone) and actor Shaan Sharma (The chosen ones).
