Hulu dropped the trailer The willsthe highly anticipated sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale. I have to say it’s a bit disappointing.
The wills Premiering on Hulu on April 8, 2026
While Margaret Atwood wrote The Handmaid’s Tale in the 80s, The wills was published in 2019. Although the story is not as strong as the original, I enjoyed the book. However, I can’t understand the trailer that much. I’m afraid that extending the story to ten episodes will make it seem a bit slow and disappointing.
Check out the trailer and decide for yourself.
Um The wills
Set 15 years later The Handmaid’s TaleIt follows three characters: Aunt Lydia (who you probably remember from the series), Agnes (eldest daughter of June and Luke), and Daisy (a young woman living in Canada who turns out to be Baby Nicole, the child who was smuggled out in the original series). The story explores the inner workings of Gilead, the rise of a new generation with no memory of the “before times,” and the inevitable collapse of totalitarian systems. The novel won the 2019 Booker Prize and was hailed as a “terrifying” and powerful sequel to the novel The Handmaid’s Tale Universe.
The wills will premiere on April 8th with the first three episodes on Hulu and Disney+. Weekly publications follow,
