We spoke to the cast and crew of the dark comedy on the red carpet at Austin Film Fest Forelock.
About Forelock
First, a little about the marquee film on opening night.
Forelock Synopsis: A naive fitness enthusiast moves to LA with dreams of becoming a trainer, but collides with a corrupt Hollywood tabloid impersonator during a tragicomic excursion through the shadows of the American dream.

Many cast members have been fortunate enough to have spent time in the city, including actor and executive producer David Krumholtz.
When asked how it felt to be featured in Austin, Krumholtz said, “Austin is one of the greatest cities in the country, so it’s a no-brainer. When you get invited here, you run.”
Director/writer and star Caleb Alexander Smith has never been to Austin, but is looking forward to spending a few days in the city after the festival appearance. “I like what I see so far,” he said, “It’s a lot of fun, maybe a little too hot.” When I replied that the weather actually feels pretty good (read: mild) at the moment, he shrugged as if he clearly disagreed with that.
When asked how it feels to be a part of AFF, he replied, “Austin (Film Fest) is known as a writers’ festival and storytellers’ conference. As someone who has worked on screenplays for years, I really appreciate that aspect being brought to the forefront.”
