Renault Kangoo recalled | Daily Sparkz

The current third generation Renault Kangoo is now the subject of a nationwide product safety recall due to missing covers on the rear door strikers, which can cause injury when entering and exiting the vehicle.

The recall affects all petrol variants of the latest Kangoo III compact van – Renault’s smallest commercial vehicle – which arrived in Australia in electric E-Tech form in early 2024, followed by petrol versions in mid-2024.

“On certain vehicles, the rear swing door cover is missing from the cargo area, resulting in door closers being exposed to occupants,” Renault Australia said in its recall notice.

“If the vehicle occupant does not notice that the door striker plate is not covered, the risk of injury when getting in and out of the vehicle can increase.”
