The Kia EV4 GT Sedan was quietly unveiled for the Korean domestic market after its hatchback sibling was unveiled at the Brussels auto show last month.
Launched in its home region alongside the smaller EV3 GT and larger EV5 GT SUVs, the EV4 GT for Korea features the same 215kW/468Nm dual-motor electric powertrain as the EV4 GT Hatch launched for Europe and is powered by an 81.4kWh lithium-ion battery.
While no figures are provided for the Korean sedan, the EV4 GT Hatch claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.6 seconds, although Kia Korea claims a range of up to 440 km in city driving, based on figures from South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, which are generally stricter than the WLTP standard.

Other details on the Korean model include a combined efficiency rating of 4.5 km/kWh or 22.22 kWh/100 km on the standard 20-inch alloy wheels shod with 245/40 Pirelli P Zero performance tires.
Pricing for the EV4 GT in the domestic market starts at 55,170,000 won (A$54,074) after local tax benefits, although the list price in the Korean configurator shows a base price of 58,110,000 won (A$56,955).
It’s worth noting that while the base price seems quite high, the base EV4 GT in Korea does not have full active safety equipment as standard equipment and requires a 1,280,000 won (A$1,254) “Drive Wise” option package, while a sunroof and head-up display are also optional equipment in the domestic market.
Other upgrades that appear to fit the European-market EV4 GT Hatch include semi-bucket sports seats, a three-spoke GT steering wheel with a bright green 12 o’clock marker, and a special user interface when the vehicle is in GT mode.
The launch of the EV4 GT sedan coincides with the launch of the Long Range 4WD dual-motor versions of the EV3 and EV4 in Korea, increasing power and torque from 150kW/283Nm to 195kW/385, while the combined range drops by around 30km for the EV4.
Kia Australia has previously left the door open for the addition of a twin-motor EV3 long-range AWD variant to the local lineup, but suggested an expansion of the EV4 sedan range was unlikely for now, based on the current “sales plan”, which forecasts around 70 units per month for the new electric hatchback.
“At this point, what we offer as a sedan is the current range,” said Roland Rivero, general manager of products for Kia Australia. He added that an Air Long Range is more of a potential expansion point for the EV4 sedan “if there is demand for it.”
The 2026 Kia EV4 sedan has just arrived in Australia. Pricing starts at $49,990 plus on-road costs for the Air Standard Range and goes up to $64,690 for the flagship GT-Line Long Range. Should an EV4 GT be brought to Australia, it would almost certainly carry a price tag starting with a “7”.
