Imagine driving on the highway during rush hour and feeling a sharp jolt, only to look outside your vehicle and realize that you were hit not by another car but by a plane.
Exactly this unlikely scenario happened to a 57-year-old woman in the US state of Florida, whose Toyota Camry was hit from above by a plane that had to make an emergency landing on Interstate 95 at 5:45 p.m. on December 8, 2025.
Dashcam footage captured by another driver, James Coffey, shows the impact of the Beechcraft 95-C55 Baron plane, with a wheel hitting it first before the rest of the plane landed on the Camry.

The Camry driver, in turn, moves to the left as the plane skids, making a complete 360-degree turn.
The driver was taken to hospital with only minor injuries, while the 27-year-old pilot and his 27-year-old passenger were uninjured. I-95 was briefly closed in both directions at the crash site.
According to the TV station WESHThe National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said the training flight left Merritt Island before the plane lost power on both engines, requiring an emergency landing.
An investigation has been launched and will look into the aircraft’s pilot license and maintenance records.
