Toyota Australia has increased prices everywhere Toyota Land Cruiser 300 series And Toyota LandCruiser Prado is up to $1000.
The increase means the Prado GX is now priced at $73,200 (excluding on-road costs), while the LandCruiser 300 Series price now starts at $99,340 (excluding on-road costs). No technical changes were made to the two SUV model series.
The price increase will not affect the LandCruiser 70 series, which is currently discontinued sales in the GXL wagon following an eight-month production break from September 2025 as Toyota updates the vehicle to meet stricter Euro 6 emissions standards.
While Ford Australia cited the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) as a factor in the $5,000 price increase for the Mustang – which came before price increases for the Ford Ranger and Everest, rivals to the Toyota HiLux and Prado respectively – Toyota did not cite emissions regulations as a factor on this occasion.

“Toyota is committed to keeping price increases to a minimum. These changes recently came into effect due to increased costs and inflationary pressures both here and abroad,” a spokesman said Daily Sparkz.
The Prado narrowly outsold rival Everest in 2025, with 26,106 deliveries compared to the Everest’s 26,161 – a difference of just 55 vehicles.
The large SUV segment, in which the Prado and Everest compete, grew 11 percent in 2025, while the upper large SUV segment – home to the LandCruiser 300 Series and the Nissan Patrol, which saw its price hiked by $5,000 across the range in August – shrank 21.6 percent over the same period.
Despite the downturn, the LandCruiser 300 Series still held 63.9 percent of its segment with the old 70 Series station wagon. That was almost twice as much as the next best seller, the Patrol, with the segment expected to become more competitive in 2026 with the launch of the next-generation Denza B8 SUV and Y63 Patrol.
Sean Hanley, vice president of sales and marketing at Toyota Australia, said: Daily Sparkz When announcing the updated LandCruiser 300 series in September 2025 – due to arrive in showrooms before April 2026 – the company said it was unable to secure enough vehicles to meet customer demand.
Pricing for a LandCruiser Hybrid has yet to be determined locally, but it is expected to launch at a price above the current range-topping GR Sport, which now costs $147,160 before on-road costs after the $1,000 increase.
The LandCruiser Hybrid is said to use the same powertrain already offered in the Toyota Tundra ute, which sold more than the Ford F-150 in Australia in 2025 after supply of the rival pickup was limited for several months while Ford addressed unspecified issues.
In 2025, Toyota once again topped the local sales charts, recording 239,863 deliveries – just shy of the record 241,296 sales the previous year.
Toyota maintained its position as the world’s best-selling car manufacturer last year and extended its lead over second-placed Volkswagen.
