The cast of “Friday Night Lights” reunites for a 20-year reunion

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of “TV Camp for Adults” and the 20th anniversary of Friday Night LightsThe ATX TV Festival is hosting a special event honoring the Texas-made classic. The series has been shown at the festival several times over the years and we’re excited to see it return.

The cast of “Friday Night Lights” reunites for a 20-year reunion

It’s no secret that Austinites are big fans of it FNL. The series, which premiered in 2006 and aired for five seasons, was filmed exclusively in Central Texas. Many of the filming locations still exist. You can find them all here.

The ATX TV Festival is honored Friday Night Lights with the festival’s 2026 “Texas Made” Award, presented by Media for Texas. The awards ceremony will also feature a marquee reunion panel with performers and creatives.

Who attends the FNL meeting?

Confirmed participants include cast members Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton and Adrianne Palicki. Also participating are showrunner/executive producer Jason Katims, executive producer/writer David Hudgins, executive producer/director Jeffrey Reiner, co-executive producer/writer Liz Heldens and consulting producer/writer Kerry Ehrin. Additional performers and events will be announced later.

“The Friday Night Lights The family is excited to return to the ATX TV Festival and Austin, where the show was filmed. We are honored to receive the Texas Made Award,” said showrunner and executive producer Jason Katims.

We caught up with performer and Austinite Adrianne Palicki at the recent African Children’s Choir Gala in Austin and chatted briefly about the series. We actually asked her about the difference between FNL And University Blues. “Both have their pros and cons. I just think Friday Night Lights is based on a true story. It’s about real people. I think so University Blues It’s fun to watch,” Palicki said. “But I think there’s nothing better than Friday Night Lightsand the fact that it lives on through time.”

The ATX Television Festival takes place May 28-31 in Austin, Texas. Tickets are on sale now.
