Sony has released a new teaser that suggests something new is coming on February 12, 2026. While the clip itself (posted on YouTube) is short and mysterious: a pink satin fabric draped over what clearly looks like a pair of over-ear headphones, the company hasn’t revealed the product yet.
From what I understand, Sony is preparing to launch its flagship TWS earbuds WF-1000XM6 with improved noise cancellation and a higher price (rumored at $329.99). However, the six-second teaser suggests that the company could also introduce a pair of headphones.
Introducing the WF-1000XM6 and perhaps something more special
There are currently no rumors about a new headphone model or a new product range. Additionally, the teaser includes a satin pink cloth that slides over the silhouette of headphones.
Putting things together (and gleaning from internet chatter), the teaser could be a new version of Sony’s flagship WH-1000XM6 headphones.
Sony could be releasing a new finish called “Sand Pink” for its flagship headphones, which comes in a muted pink that looks premium and will turn a lot of heads.
The WH-1000XM6 has only recently taken over noise-cancellation duties at the top of Sony’s lineup, and so mid-cycle lighting makes sense.
Is Sand Pink the next XM6 shade?
It’s worth noting that Sony hasn’t confirmed the name of the shade. Currently, the device is available in three colors: black, platinum silver and midnight blue.
There is no pink shade in the product range. However, Sony offered the WH-1000XM5 in a smoky pink variant.
Therefore, we now expect Sony to unveil the WF-1000XM6 earphones on February 12th as well as a new color of the WH-1000XM6 headphones.
Currently, the company has not confirmed the price or availability of any of the products. Since all available colors of the WH-1000XM6 retail for $449.99, the Sand Pink shade should be available for the same price.
