Omoda Jaecoo Australia remembers its debut model in Australia, the Jaecoo J7as there could be a sudden power outage.
The recall only affects Jaecoo J7 crossover SUVs equipped with the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, while the plug-in hybrid SHS is not affected.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the electronic control unit (ECU) wiring harness may rub against the engine mount and become damaged,” the company’s recall notice states.
“This could result in a sudden loss of power and/or engine stalling without warning.
“Sudden loss of power and/or engine shutdown while driving could increase the risk of an accident and result in injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
