The Bugatti Veyron FKP Homage is the second car from the company’s custom-order Solitare division and is named after Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the former CEO of the Volkswagen Group and the driving force behind the original Veyron project.
While the Veyron FKP Homage looks like it shares the same bodywork as the hypercar produced between 2005 and 2015, the FKP actually uses the “highest evolution” of the W16 platform, meaning it is actually a Chiron that has been extensively redesigned to resemble the Veyron.
According to Bugatti, the FKP’s exterior is a “subtle but significant evolution” of the original. The front appears more three-dimensional, the horseshoe grill protrudes forward and fits more organically into the rest of the vehicle.

At the rear there are the classic afterburner style taillights, but the stance is wider and meaner.
With two-tone painting, the color split depends directly on the individual panels. The red sections feature a silver base coat with a red tinted clear coat, while the black sections are actually exposed carbon fiber with a 10 percent black pigment in the clear coat.
The headlights are smaller and larger air intakes are required to accommodate the more powerful 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine carried over from the Chiron Super Sport.
This iteration of the W16 produces 1176kW (or 1600hp) and 1600Nm, which is a significant increase over the original Veyron’s 736kW (1001hp) and 1250Nm.
Like the Chiron, the Veyron FKP Homage also runs on Michelin tires with 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch rims at the rear.
While many bespoke creations from luxury brands feature reworked versions of their donor vehicle’s interior, the FKP features a unique steering wheel inspired by the Veyron, as well as a new dashboard with a bespoke center console and center tunnel made from solid aluminum blocks.
The seats and door panels are made of Paris-woven fabric, while in the center of the dashboard is a 41mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon clock with a unique automatic mechanism that rotates around a diagonal axis several times per hour without being powered directly by the car.
A Bugatti spokesman said this Autocar The FKP will cost its owner over 10 million euros (A$17 million). Before the FKP Homage goes into its owner’s garage, it will be exhibited at the Retromobile Paris exhibition from January 29th to February 1st.
