Your next Samsung Galaxy A series phone could be more expensive

Samsung’s upcoming devices could be more expensive, and the price increase could extend beyond the flagship Galaxy S26 series. A report early last month suggested that the company may increase prices for its next-generation flagships due to rising costs of key components such as SoCs, camera modules and RAM. Now, a new clue suggests that the South Korean giant may soon increase the prices of existing Galaxy A models in a market, fueling speculation that its next-generation A-series devices could see similar price hikes.

According to a recent post by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X (via SamMobile), Samsung is reportedly planning to increase the price of the Galaxy A56 by INR 2,000 (~$22) in India. The price of other models in the Galaxy A series could also increase by INR 1,000 (~$11). While there are no reports of a similar increase planned for other markets and Samsung hasn’t made anything official yet, the notice sparked speculation that these higher prices could be carried over to upcoming Galaxy A series devices.

Biggest scoop: From Monday, Samsung India will increase the prices of its Galaxy A series smartphones by ₹1,000, while the Samsung Galaxy A56 will see a higher price hike of ₹2,000.

A separate report earlier this month suggested that Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy A-series devices could launch sooner than expected. The company unveiled the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 in March this year, but the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 are rumored to launch as early as February. If that turns out to be true, we may not have to wait long to find out if the speculation about a possible price increase is true.

Rising component costs could impact the pricing of the Galaxy A series

The reported price hike in India remains unconfirmed for now and Samsung has not commented on the claim. As with all leaks, it’s worth taking the information with a grain of salt until the company makes an official announcement. However, if component costs continue to rise, higher prices for Samsung’s entire mid-range lineup could soon become a reality.
