Your next budget workstation GPU could be Intel Arc Pro B70

Intel Arc Pro B70 is shaping up to be a simple answer to the common problem with workstations of running out of VRAM in the worst case scenario. A new leak suggests an imminent launch, with the card described as the first product to ship based on Intel’s larger Battlemage BMG-G31 chip.

The Arc Pro B70 is expected to ship with 32GB of VRAM on a 256-bit bus, a notable jump from the Arc Pro B60’s 24GB of GDDR6. This extra capacity is important when your scene, timeline, or dataset doesn’t stay in place.

Intel has not yet confirmed the card’s price, timing, or actual retail location.

The specs suggest 32GB

The timing comes from an X post by leaker Jaykihn0, who says the Arc Pro B70 is close. If true, it’s also a sign that BMG-G31 is ready to move on from rumors to real hardware.

The same leak trail also mentions 32 Xe2 cores, listed as 4,096 shaders. Such specs befit a workstation card where capacity and consistent behavior often trump flashy benchmark victories.

It’s a pro-first signal

The more telling detail is what isn’t on Intel’s calendar. There is still no public launch date for the consumer Arc B770, even though rumors of a Pro version with the larger chip are increasing.

For buyers, this means Intel’s next Battlemage move will land on workstations first. This can be good news if you value professional app readiness, long sessions, and fewer workflow surprises.

What to watch next

Before you plan a build around the Arc Pro B70, wait for the basics that Intel hasn’t revealed, namely the price, shipping date, and region list. The leaker also mentions Arc Pro B65, so it’s worth watching to see if Intel presents this as a more comprehensive Arc Pro refresh.

Power is another open question. Chatter has a value of around 300W but is not shown as locked.

If you need more VRAM this month, purchase what your system can support today. If you can wait, wait for Intel’s official announcement because the actual decision depends on launch pricing and availability.
