After introducing its latest home power backup products at CES last week, Anker has now officially introduced the Solix E10. Touted as the “world’s first smart whole-home hybrid backup system,” the Solix E10 combines a smart fuel generator, battery storage and solar input with automatic and manual switching options to provide nearly unlimited backup capability.
According to Anker, a single Solix E10 unit can deliver up to 37.2 kW of power, enough to start high-performance appliances such as a 5-ton air conditioner. It can be paired with up to three other units to achieve a storage capacity of 90 kWh, providing higher energy reserves when needed – such as in the event of an outage.
The Power Dock features a 20ms automatic switch that switches to backup power without damaging connected devices. Alternatively, buyers can pair the Solix E10 with a Smart Inlet Box for a more cost-effective setup, although this option requires manual switching in the event of failures.
The Solix E10 supports 9 kW of solar energy per unit (combining three units increases this to 27 kW). According to Anker, it is compatible with all solar panels, including rigid, portable, and third-party AC solar systems. Buyers can also charge the battery directly with the smart generator via a DC connection, which can extend the backup duration by five times compared to traditional AC generators.
Pre-orders begin today, with sales beginning February 4th
Interested buyers can pre-order the Solix E10 on Anker’s website starting today. General availability is scheduled for February 4th. The base system, which includes an inverter and battery, costs $4,299, while the base system bundled with the Smart Inlet Box costs $4,599.
The price for the Solix E10 and Power Dock combo rises to $5,799, with the top package with the Smart Generator costing $7,399. All configurations include a 5-year warranty as standard, with pre-orders receiving an additional 3-year extension. Early buyers can secure a $500 voucher and a gift package valued at over $1,500, which includes a 400W solar panel, with a $10 deposit.
