The 2026 Rox Adamas has launched in its home market of China, and there are new signs that the range-extending electric SUV could be on its way to Australia.
Daily Sparkz unearthed more than a dozen local Rox Motors trademark applications, including for the names Adamas and Pole Stone.
Originally reported in September 2023, The Rox Adamas was first known as the Pole Stones (or Polestone) 01 and Rox 01 but has been given a new name – but is slightly longer and lower than the original model.

Available as a single or dual engine vehicle, the Adamas features a 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine that acts as a power generator.
According to the website, the latest model produces 150 kW in the base variant, while the dual motor version has a total output of 350 kW ChinaPEV – with the front-runner Adamas completing the 0-100km/h sprint time in a claimed 5.5 seconds.
Rox Motors claims a combined range of 1226 kilometers – with an electric range of 215 kilometers – although it is unclear whether these figures refer to the single or dual engine vehicle.
It is understood Polestones Automobiles will be renamed Rox Motor in 2024.
The electric vehicle startup initially launched in the Middle East before expanding to Africa and Central Asia – with the company being named the most trusted electric vehicle brand in Oman in 2025.
The Rox Adamas was designed by the Shanghai office of Italian design house Pininfarina, best known for designing some of the most famous Ferrari models. It offers a boxy silhouette with clear inspiration from the Land Rover Defender, while the interior can be equipped with either six or seven seats.
Rox Motors offers several features designed for camping purposes, including a tailgate kitchen system, night guard mode, inflatable mattress, and household power outlets.
Perhaps the most unusual feature, however, is the vehicle’s center console, which is equipped with a removable lid, transforming it into an emergency toilet.
The toilet box is designed to be used with a special plastic bag containing deodorizing and absorbing gel, the Chinese automotive website reports Dcar.
According to UAE pricing, the Rox Adamas is priced at around A$109,000.
However, Rox Motors has not yet made any announcement regarding its entry into the Australian market Daily Sparkz understands the company has staff in Australia.
