Black Friday deals can be chaotic, but as a PS5 owner, this is the only time of year that I actually get excited about the deals. Not just because of the savings, but because I can finally devote myself to the games that really deserve my time and attention. If you’re making your must-play list or just want a good reason to turn your console back on, these three PS5 games deserve a spot in your library.
Silent Hill 2 – $50 $30
Silent Hill 2 is the kind of horror that comes to mind, and I felt it the first time I walked through the fog. The remake creates an eerie silence where you hear nothing but your footsteps and the distant crackle of static electricity. I love how the game makes me sit with the tension instead of pushing forward. Even simply exploring the hallway sometimes feels like a test of nerves. The combat is clumsy in a way that feels intentional and almost human. If you’re looking for a horror game that stays with you even after you turn off your PS5, I recommend this one.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – $70 $50
When I jumped into Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on my PS5, I was hooked from the first hour. I like it because it doesn’t feel like a typical action game. The world feels vast and unpredictable, with off-road hazards and enemies that force you to carefully plan your every move. Improved combat and smoother traversal increase the weight of each delivery run. I appreciate that the story feels heavier, with real emotions at stake in every mission, and feelings of connection and isolation felt more strongly than before, making this sequel one of the most immersive games I’ve ever played.
God of War Ragnarok – $70 $20
In my opinion, God of Ragnarok is one of the most complete games on PS5. The way the sun cuts through snow-covered trees, the way the snow crunches beneath my boots, makes the world seem alive. The combat is brutal in the best possible way. Every swing of the Leviathan axe, every blow of the blades of chaos hits me with force and makes me feel the rage. Long after the main battle was over, I explored ruins and forests, fascinated by lore and secrets. What really grabbed me was the story. The bond between Kratos and Atreus is raw and real, and their relationship gives every fight meaning.
No matter which game you choose this Black Friday, each of these games will remind you why owning a PS5 still feels special.
