“The Highway Patrol’s Drug and Alcohol Unit has added five Ford Everest Sport V6 vehicles to its fleet,” the spokesman said. These vehicles carry the appropriate livery as “alcohol buses” and primarily support roadside alcohol and drug testing stations.

The addition of the Everest comes after Victoria Police began using the previous generation Ford Ranger ute – the model on which the Everest is based – as a division transport in 2021, replacing the Holden Colorado.
