The Hyundai i30 Sedan N TCR makes its debut this year Gran Turismo 7 as part of an update to the iconic game in January 2026, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Hyundai’s N-Performance arm.
Hyundai announced the news at the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series finale in Fukuoka, Japan, more than a decade after unveiling the N Division at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The N division, named after the Namyang district of South Korea, is responsible for Hyundai’s performance-oriented models, similar to BMW’s M divisions, Mercedes-Benz’s AMG divisions and Nissan’s Nismo divisions.
“We are proud to announce the introduction of the i30 Sedan N TCR in Gran Turismo 7 at the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series World Finals,” Hyundai N brand vice president Joon Park said in a statement.

“This milestone marks the 10th anniversary of Hyundai N and our ongoing collaboration with (Gran Turismo 7 Creator) Polyphony Digital, reinforcing our commitment to bringing the thrill of racing to enthusiasts around the world.”
The i30 Sedan N TCR is the motorsport version of the i30 Sedan N, competing in the global TCR (Touring Car Racing) category, including three FIA TCR World Tour Drivers’ Championships.
It has also won two Australian TCR Drivers’ titles with Josh Buchan in 2023 and 2024.
A special road-going i30 sedan N TCR was launched overseas in late 2024, but has not yet made it to the Australian model range.
The showroom version of the i30 sedan will be sold overseas under the Elantra name, while the i30 sedan N TCR will be called the Elantra N TCR Gran Turismo 7.
The first vehicle from Hyundai’s N division was the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, a 650 kW mid-engine hydrogen-powered concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
It also appeared in Gran Turismo Sportwhich was announced in 2015 and released two years later.
Hyundai N currently has four N models in Australian showrooms, with the i30 Sedan N selling alongside the i20 N and i30 N hatchbacks, as well as the Ioniq 5 N electric performance model.
The Ioniq 6 N is scheduled to be launched in Australia in 2026.
Hyundai Motor Company’s luxury brand Genesis will also launch its first performance model locally with the launch of the GV60 Magma early next year.
