Michelin develops a unique tire for Hispano Suiza’s unique hypercar.
The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera is not only one of the most fascinating electric hypercars currently on the market, but also the culmination of over a century of history of the legendary Hispano Suiza brand and the celebration of its 120th anniversary. With an output of 1,114 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds, the Carmen Sagrera belongs to an extremely exclusive league of hypercars that, unlike most other vehicles on the road, require technical solutions, and this is particularly true of its tires.
The Carmen Sagrera combines Hispano Suiza’s rich and long history with the latest innovation and performance of futuristic hypercars. Michelin, Hispano Suiza’s exclusive tire supplier for the Carmen Sagrera, its most advanced hypercar to date, therefore has both the technology and design befitting such a powerful vehicle, referencing Hispano Suiza’s past.
The tire is an exclusive version of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which features special sidewalls with details inspired by Hispano Suiza’s historic stork emblem as well as the work of renowned Catalan architect Antoni GaudÃ. The side panels also feature Michelin’s Velvet Touch, giving them a unique velvety feel.
In fact, Hispano Suiza’s relationship with Michelin dates back almost a century, when Michelin began producing tires for the manufacturer’s advanced models in the 1920s and 1930s. Currently, Michelin tires are used across Hispano Suiza’s hypercar range, and thanks to Michelin’s performance-focused range of advanced tires, hypercars like the Carmen Sagrera with over 1,000 horsepower can reach their full potential, with an added touch of beauty.
