The 2027 Cupra Raval Ahead of its official unveiling, an electric sunroof has been spied in Europe.
Pictures posted online by Wilco Blok And CarSpies show two uncovered Ravals charging in what appears to be a Volkswagen Group office, while Porsche logos can be seen on the floor.
Originally announced as an UrbanRebel concept in 2021, the Raval is expected to slot underneath the Born hatchback – with the Raval based on the same MEB+ platform as the Skoda Epiq and Volkswagen ID. Polo city cars.

According to Cupra, the Raval is the sportiest of the trio and will sit about 15mm lower on a “sports suspension”.
The electric hatch is 4046mm long, 1784mm wide and 1518mm high with a wheelbase of 2600mm, giving it roughly the same footprint as the current petrol-powered Volkswagen Polo.
Cupra will offer a hotter VZ variant, with the electric performance variant featuring an adaptive sports suspension, ESC off mode and electrically adjustable CUPBucket seats.
The Raval VZ will also receive some design upgrades such as a rear diffuser, rear spoiler and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Its 166 kW electric motor – 11 kW more than the smaller Raval – drives the front wheels via a limited-slip differential.
Inside, the Raval gets a digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Although full specifications have not been released at this time, the concept is said to have completed the 0-100km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds – which happens to be the same time as the associated ID.Polo GTI.
The concept is also said to have had a range of 439 kilometers.
Cupra has confirmed that the Raval will be available with 38kWh and 56kWh batteries – the same ones found in the ID.Polo – with the Cupra to be built alongside the Volkswagen at a production facility in Martorell, Spain.
“We are starting a historic year,” said Markus Haupt, CEO of Cupra.
“In Martorell, the epicenter of future mobility, we are in the final stages of series production of the Cupra Raval, the car that will mark the beginning of a new era for the brand.”
