The 2026 Honda ZR-V facelift has been unveiled in Japan

The slightly revised model Honda ZR-V was revealed in Japan ahead of its expected release here in the not-too-distant future.

For all but the most dedicated car spotters, the differences are difficult to spot. The Japanese model range has been reduced to three trim levels, with the base model Z featuring a design that remains completely unchanged apart from new 18-inch alloy wheels.

There are also a few additions to the color palette including Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Seabed Blue Pearl.

Step up to the Z Black Style and there’s a new honeycomb grille, while the wheel arch protectors, side skirts and lower part of the bumpers are finished in gloss black. While the wheels are shared with those of the Z, they get a darker finish.

Topping the list is the Z Cross Touring (pictured above), which features a new, more aggressive front bumper design with false bumper plates. To give it the impression of better off-road capability, matt black was used for the wheel arch protectors, intake trim, side skirts and alloy wheels.

Also new are the protective strips in the lower area of the doors, which bear more than a passing resemblance to the “air bumps” that were installed on Citroens in the 2010s. The Cross Touring is available with a dark beige interior with orange stitching.
