AI note-taking devices are quickly becoming the latest trend in consumer technology, with more and more manufacturers releasing products in unique form factors. Pebble recently jumped on the bandwagon with its Index 01 Smart Ring, which allows users to not only take notes but also set reminders, create calendar events, or perform custom actions like controlling music playback, taking a photo, or triggering a smart home command. Now SwitchBot has joined the fight with its AI MindClip.
The SwitchBot AI MindClip, which will be unveiled at the ongoing CES 2026 in Las Vegas, looks very similar to Anker’s Soundcore Work and offers similar features. It’s essentially a wearable microphone that you can clip to your collar or lapel and allows you to take notes hands-free. According to SwitchBot, the MindClip can act as a “second brain,” allowing you to record voice notes, conversations or meetings into an audio database.
The MindClip uses AI to convert these recordings into summaries or create to-do lists. You can even access past discussions, reminders, or study materials using voice commands or ask questions about the recordings. These features require a subscription to SwitchBot’s cloud AI service, but the company hasn’t yet disclosed everything that comes with it.
SwitchBot’s MindClip already has serious competition
The SwitchBot AI MindClip weighs 18 grams, making it slightly heavier than the Anker Soundcore Work. It supports over 100 languages, making it superior to Plaud’s NotePin, which only supports 59 languages.
To date, SwitchBot has not announced pricing or availability details for MindClip or its cloud AI subscription service. The company hasn’t laid out the Pin’s full capabilities either, so we’ll have to wait until the official launch to see how it compares to the competition.
