Like every year, almost everything about Samsung’s new flagships is already available as leaks and rumors on the Internet. While we already know that the Galaxy S26 series won’t be as radical an update as many have wanted, it may not come with a revised price tag after all.
However, a new leak seems to have removed all mystery from the Galaxy S26’s launch date, or should I say, the date of the first Galaxy Unpacked event, and it’s on the same day as everyone expected.
The unboxing date of the Galaxy seems to be set
Popular tipster Evan Blass (via X) has seemingly shared a banner ad for the rumored Galaxy Unpacked event.
The date mentioned on the banner is February 25, 2026, which confirms (and somewhat confirms) all previous reports about it. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Samsung’s big launch of the Galaxy S26, scheduled for late February.
It was a Korean news outlet that claimed to be on the same day in November 2025. Over time, multiple industry sources have confirmed the release schedule in one way or another.
In 2025, Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 on January 22nd, pre-orders began the next day, while the flagships went on sale from February 7th.
What the launch schedule might look like
If the company follows a similar launch plan this year, the Galaxy S26 should be available for purchase by the end of the second week of March.
In addition to the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 series at the event. For those staying tuned, we should see two TWS earbuds at the event: Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
We last reported that the flagship earbuds could be available at a similar price to last year’s Galaxy Buds 3.
