Prices for the JAC T9 2026: Chinese ute pushes further into HiLux territory with new variants

China’s latest addition to the Australian ute market is getting more variants aimed at tradesmen and contract packaging buyers.

After the announcement of an expansion of the JAC T9 After unveiling the dual cab 4×4 ute range last month, the Chinese car brand has now confirmed pricing for the new entry-level Oasis dual cab/chassis variant, as well as the fancier Osprey and Osprey X dual cab pickup models, which are now available in showrooms.

JAC Motors Australia has not yet confirmed pricing for the Tradepro double cab/chassis, which is said to offer an even lower price than the new Oasis double cab/chassis, which is priced at $41,162 before on-road costs. The factory aluminum shelf is not included in this price.

While the Oasis double cab and chassis offers a payload capacity of 1,165 kg, the Osprey and the Osprey

The new luxury vehicles have a payload of almost 1000 kg, namely 980 kg.

In addition to the Haven’s standard equipment, the Osprey features a power sunroof, a relative rarity in this segment. So in short, you pay an extra $999 for a sunroof and reduce the payload by 65kg.

Like the Haven, there are also heated and power-adjustable front seats and rear privacy windows, as well as a surround-view camera.
