Price and technical data of the Subaru Impreza 2026: Range of small cars reduced, prices increased

The Subaru Impreza has fallen further for 2026, while prices for all small hatchbacks have been increased.

There is new standard equipment, however, with the surviving Impreza AWD 2.0L and AWD 2.0S variants featuring Subaru’s emergency stop system.

If the driver no longer reacts while driving, EDSS brings the vehicle to a “controlled stop and at the same time warns other road users” if the lane centering function is active.

A seat memory function is now standard on the AWD 2.0S.

“After careful consideration, the MY26 Impreza range has been streamlined to two variants – AWD 2.0L and AWD 2.0S – focusing on the most preferred specifications and supporting increased availability,” a Subaru Australia spokesperson said, confirming the removal of the mid-range AWD 2.0R.

The AWD 2.0L is now $1,000 more expensive than before at $33,490 before on-road costs, while the AWD 2.0S is $2,000 more expensive than before at $40,990 before on-road costs.

Otherwise, no changes were made to the Impreza, aside from the introduction of a new exterior paint finish (Citron Yellow Pearl, priced at $660) and the removal of another paint finish (Oasis Blue).
