Fiat makes do with just two models in Australia – three if you count remaining stock of the now-cancelled petrol-powered 500 – but now it’s finally getting another vehicle.
Placed under the Fiat Professional banner and under the full-size Ducato van is the 2026 Fiat Scudo is a mid-size van aimed squarely at the best-selling Toyota HiAce as well as the Hyundai Staria Load and Ford Transit Custom.
It will be available in local showrooms from February priced at $48,490 before on-road costs.
And if it sounds familiar, that’s because it is: the “new” Fiat Scudo is a Peugeot Expert with a different name.

This makes Fiat Australia the first vehicle in this segment since the last Scudo, which was offered here from 2008 to 2017 and was also a renamed Peugeot Expert.
The Scudo Series 3 is the latest version of the third-generation Stellantis mid-size vans launched in 2016, which also wear Citroen, Opel, Vauxhall, Iveco and Toyota badges in other markets.
Fiat Australia offers the Scudo in two trim levels, and despite their SWB and LWB names, both have the same 3275mm wheelbase.
However, the overall length differs between the two configurations and is 4983mm and 5333mm respectively, which is due to a longer rear overhang on the LWB variants.
It is available with glazed rear doors that open 270 degrees or, for an additional $700, a glazed tailgate.
The majority of Fiat’s business in Australia now comes from vans. Last year, Fiat delivered 1,541 Ducatos, while only 411 examples of the 500 city car were built, including remaining stock of the discontinued petrol-powered model.
