Mitsubishi is stepping up customer service support for Australian buyers

Mitsubishi has added another feather to his cap Diamond advantage program, with an additional up to 10 years of roadside assistance for buyers.

The decade-long roadside assistance promise is now offered alongside a 10-year new car warranty and 10-year premium service service, which the Japanese automaker is bundling under the Diamond Advantage umbrella.

However, all three components of the updated program require the owner to service their vehicle in a timely manner at a Mitsubishi dealer based on their model’s maintenance schedule.

All new Mitsubishi vehicles for sale have service intervals of 12 months or 15,000km – whichever comes first.

After purchasing a new car, buyers initially receive 12 months of free roadside assistance; after each service at a Mitsubishi dealer, this is extended by a further 12 months – up to 10 years.

Likewise, Mitsubishi’s standard warranty for new cars is five years or 100,000 km, but can be extended up to 10 years or 200,000 km if the vehicle is serviced on time and within its dealer network.

Mitsubishi Australia’s latest announcement comes 21 years to the day after the Japanese car brand introduced its “5-10” warranty, which initially offered a five-year new car warranty and a 10-year powertrain warranty.

While Mitsubishi has been a pioneer in long new car warranties in this market, the company lags behind two other brands in terms of warranty length.
