A few hours ago, the vibrant city of Ibadan came alive with a heartwarming celebration of childhood as part of the McEnies Children’s Day Ibadan Celebration 2025. Held at 12A, Saka Agbaje Street, Aare Bodija, this event marked the second consecutive year of a gathering that has quickly become a beacon of joy and inspiration for children and families alike. Organized by McEnies Global Events in collaboration with Perfect Clicks Signature, this year’s theme, “GIGGLING, GAMES AND AWESOME!” captured the spirit of the day beautifully.
Over 70 children and 40 adults attended the event, a significant increase from last year, highlighting the growing impact and warm welcome of this annual celebration. The atmosphere was electric with laughter, games and heartfelt moments as children from different backgrounds came together to celebrate their potential and the greatness that lies within each of them.
Dr. Commenting on the event, Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, CEO of McEnies Global Events said, “Seeing the smiles and laughter of these children reminds us why we do this. Every child deserves to feel special, know their worth and dream big. This event is more than just a celebration; it is a declaration that there is greatness in every child here.”

The focus of the celebration were the inspiring lectures by two respected speakers: Dr. Olayinka Abimbola Egbokhare, Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan and Reverend Abiodun Felix Ogunbisi of Immanuel College of Theology and Christian Education, Ibadan. Both speakers engaged the children with warmth and wisdom on the theme “Greatness Is Within You,” encouraging each child to recognize their unique value and the endless possibilities that lie before them. Their messages were well received and sowed seeds of trust and hope.
The event also featured moving performances by participating orphanages Tabitha Home Orphanage Home and Kent Home, Ibadan. Their talents added a special touch of community and spirit to the day, reminding everyone in attendance of the power of inclusion and celebration together.
The success of the event was made possible by the generous support of sponsors who shared the vision of empowering children. Fan Milk, a subsidiary of Danone, delighted the children with an abundance of their dairy products while World Lilies Events Place, Ibadan, led by Mr. Abiodun Adediran Olatunji SAN, provided significant support. Their contributions ensured a smooth, joyful and memorable experience for all participants.
A highlight of the day was the warm reactions from the participants. Ezekiel Amolegbe, a child from Tabitha Orphanage, said: “I enjoyed today in every way – the games, the stories and the friends I made. I can’t wait for next year’s celebrations!” This enthusiasm was confirmed by the parents present. Mr Olasunmbo Kehinde, who brought 11 children, said: “This event was wonderful. It is a day my children will remember and we are already looking forward to 2026.” Mrs. Olabode Abijo, who brought five children, added: “The joy and learning my children experienced today is priceless. The anticipation for next year’s McEnies Children’s Day is already building in our hearts.”
