Manthey chooses the Porsche 911 GT3 again.
Porsche’s range of vehicles, nicknamed the GT, are some of the most serious Porsche performance machines to ever roll off the manufacturer’s assembly line. The GT range, previously reserved only for track-focused, serious versions of the 911, has been expanded to include the 718 Cayman as well as the Cayenne and Taycan turbo GT models. However, a division of Porsche that specializes in racing is doing even more to make Porsche’s GT models race-ready performance powerhouses: Manthey Racing, a manufacturer of kits that give cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 even more track-oriented performance capabilities.
The Porsche 911 GT3 is undeniably a staple at track days and is the subject of a new Manthey kit. This is not just another kit designed to improve the GT3’s track performance, but one that has notably demonstrated its ability to improve the race-ready Porsche’s Nürburgring lap time, not only compared to the standard Porsche 911 GT3 992.2, but also compared to the previous Manthey Performance kit.
The kit is available for installation on Porsche 911 GT3 at Manthey certified Porsche centers nationwide and does not affect the vehicle’s existing factory warranty. It significantly improves the vehicle’s aerodynamic performance, with components that efficiently increase downforce up to 1,190 pounds. Additionally, an adjustable coilover suspension allows owners to change rebound and compression damping without tools and benefit from larger spring rates, allowing for even greater track versatility than the car normally offers.
Lightweight wheels with 20 and 21 inch diameters as well as braided steel brake lines are available with the kit. The kit allowed the car to improve its Nürburgring lap time by 2.76 seconds compared to the 992.1 generation 911 GT3 with the Manthey Performance Kit. Specifically, that time was 6:52.981, an absolutely blistering lap time for the 12.9-mile route with notoriously challenging corners and dramatic elevation changes. The new Manthey Performance Kit for the Porsche 911 GT3 of the 992.2 generation will be available from spring 2026. Specific pricing details will be announced later.
