MacBook Pro models with more powerful M5 series chips could be available soon

Apple’s first major hardware launch this year could be the new MacBook Pro(s), rumored to feature the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. According to a Macworld report, the Cupertino giant could introduce the new MacBook Pro models with the Creator Studio.

For those who don’t know, Creator Studio is Apple’s newest service that bundles the company’s professional creative apps, including Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro (along with four others), into a monthly subscription priced at $12.99. It will be available on the App Store from January 28, 2026.

Creator Studio could be setting the stage for the new MacBook Pro

The publication argues that the Creator Studio and the rumored MacBook Pro models “have the same professional audience.” Therefore, the launch of the Creative Bundle service could be the perfect time to introduce the new, more powerful MacBooks.

I think there’s more to it than just connecting the two things. Apple presented all notebook and chip variants for the M4 MacBook Pro series on October 30, 2024. The M4 MacBook Air followed in March 2025.

However, in October 2025, the company only released the base model of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip, without the M5 Pro or M5 Max variants. Both chips, as well as the corresponding MacBook models (including the 14-inch and 16-inch variants), are scheduled to hit the market.

There are also rumors that Apple will bring the MacBook Pro models M5 Pro and M5 Max onto the market in early 2026. After all, January 28, 2026 is a plausible start date. Interestingly, it is also a Wednesday.

However, whether the announcement or general availability date is clear is not immediately clear. Be sure to keep an eye on the official X-Handles from top Apple executives as they could announce the launch of the new notebooks sometime before launch.
