Positioned as a young electric vehicle brand, iCaur (or iCar as it is known in China) will sit alongside Chery’s namesake brand Omoda Jacobo And Leave in the Chery ecosystem.

Chery Australia has not yet set a specific launch date, but public relations and communications director Tim Krieger says a 2027 date is most likely.

However, Chery Australia was more reserved when asked about the launch of iCaur in August, saying: “We have no news to share about the iCaur brand in Australia, but we are continually reviewing what is available from our extensive global model ranges that Australian buyers are looking for.”

Therefore, Mr. Krieger’s recent comments indicate progress in the iCaur rollout Down Under.
