Hyundai Ioniq 6 recalled | Daily Sparkz

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 was recalled due to a defective charging port door that could fall off the vehicle.

“The affected vehicle’s charging port door panel may be misaligned due to poor adhesive application, causing the retaining hook to become detached, resulting in the charging port door panel detaching from the hinge assembly while driving,” Hyundai Australia’s recall notice says.

“If the charging port door panel detaches from the vehicle while driving, it could increase the risk of an accident resulting in injury or death to road users, bystanders and/or property damage.”
