GWM is drawing attention to its growing range of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) with a test drive campaign and offering incentives to customers who sign on the dotted line.
Customers who conclude a purchase contract for one of GWM’s PHEVs – with the exception of the new Tank 300 Hi4-T – from February 21 to March 7, 2026 will receive three free line services.
According to GWM, this equates to a savings of up to $1,060 on the Haval H6 GT PHEV, $1,085 on the Haval H6 PHEV, $1,455 on the Tank 500 PHEV and $1,595 on the Cannon Alpha PHEV.

“By testing a new energy vehicle, customers can experience an unparalleled driving and ownership experience, underscoring GWM’s commitment to making advanced hybrid technology more accessible,” the company said in a press release.
The company offers two different PHEV systems – Hi4 and Hi4-T – both of which feature two electric motors.
However, the latter system – found in the Tank 300, Tank 500 and Cannon Alpha – is combined with a mechanical all-wheel drive system with reduction gears and limited-slip differentials.
In addition to this test drive campaign, GWM is currently offering discounted prices across the majority of its PHEV range until February 28, 2026. The prices are as follows:
| Model | One-way fare | Save |
|---|---|---|
| GWM Haval H6 Lux PHEV | $40,990 | $4000 |
| GWM Haval H6 Ultra PHEV | $43,990 | $4000 |

| GWM Haval H6 GT Ultra PHEV AWD | $51,990 | $2000 |

GWM has been rapidly expanding its PHEV range, with all members launching in 2025, with the exception of the Tank 300 PHEV, which is due here from March 2026.
Although new to the Australian PHEV market, GWM was the third largest brand for PHEV sales in 2025 with 4162 customers reached. This put it behind only PHEV star Mitsubishi (5,407 deliveries) and market leader BYD (27,128).
GWM was also the third best-selling hybrid brand in 2025. The company offers hybrid versions of the Haval Jolion, Haval H6, Tank 300 and Tank 500, although it discontinued the hybrid version of its Cannon Alpha in favor of a PHEV last year.
