Samsung TVs are expected to get a major upgrade in 2026 that will allow users to watch their fondest memories on the big screen. The company today announced plans to integrate Google Photos onto its smart TVs and monitors so users can access their library from their couch.
Google Photos on Samsung TVs not only allows users to scroll through their photos and videos, but also organizes memories by people, places and moments, making it easy to view highlights at a glance. It also seamlessly integrates with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion to display important reminders on the Daily+ and Daily Board screens.
The rollout will begin with Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup early next year and will initially bring the Memories feature to the new models. Samsung has confirmed that older TVs and monitors will get the feature via a software update later this year.

Samsung also plans to introduce a nano-banana-based “Create with AI” feature on its TVs later in 2026. This gives users access to thematic templates to create and transform images, remix their photos with new art styles, and even convert still images into short videos.
Speaking about the integration, Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Consumer Experience Team in Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, said: “Samsung TVs have always brought people together, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal. Through this partnership, we are helping users rediscover and relive treasured moments by bringing to light the stories behind their photos – from the comfort of their living rooms.”
Google Photos integration allows users to do more than just watch shows and movies on their Samsung TVs. From replaying family moments to experimenting with creative edits, users can experience their memories in a larger, more interactive way without leaving their couch.
