genesisin collaboration with a new partner CKD Automotivehas further expanded its retail presence in Australia by opening another showroom in Sydney.
The Genesis Northern Beaches Showcase in Brookvale is now open.
It is the second from Genesis to call “Agency Showcases,” the other being Genesis Castle Hill, which the brand opened in 2025 with CKD Automotive.
These are in contrast to the brand’s Studios and Showcases retail locations, which are wholly owned and operated by Genesis.

While CKD Automotive has opened these new locations, customers will technically continue to purchase Genesis vehicles directly from the premium Korean car brand as it continues to have its own inventory. It’s similar to Honda and Mercedes-Benz in Australia, right down to the fixed pricing.
“Representation on Sydney’s Northern Beaches is another significant step forward for Genesis and solidifies our presence across Sydney, while CKD Automotive fits perfectly with our luxury-focused brand values and customer-focused philosophy, seamlessly complementing our own retail locations and direct-to-consumer model,” said Genesis Motors Australia boss Justin Douglass.
“Genesis’ retail expansion will continue in 2026, with additional agency partners and locations planned across Australia.
“Each new location will be a fully branded Genesis showcase, specifically designed by our investor partners to deliver a consistent, premium experience across the network.”
Genesis has confirmed it will “expand into additional high-value regions in Australia over the next two years”.
“The focus is on measured, high-quality growth of Genesis’ retail presence in key metropolitan markets,” the company says.
In short, by working with retail partners, Genesis can expand its retail footprint more efficiently and likely more cost-effectively.
“Genesis Northern Beaches will operate under a centralized ‘One Genesis’ leadership structure that ensures consistency across both (CKD/Genesis) locations,” said Chad Davies, managing director of CKD Automotive Holdings.
“This structure enables a seamless customer journey between sales and after-sales, ensuring better accessibility and convenience for customers.”
“From a customer-facing perspective, they’re not going to see any difference in that regard. They’re not going to have any competitive advantage or disadvantage or difference,” Mr. Douglass said Daily Sparkz last year.
“You’ll find that most dealers there are in Australia today represent a range of brands, so we don’t compromise on our showroom and standards – you won’t see any other showroom in our showrooms.”
Agency Showcases are expected to offer the same sales and after-sales experience as other Genesis locations, including fixed pricing, up to five years of free service, and Genesis To You.
Genesis To You means that if you live within a 70km driving radius of a Genesis store, your vehicle can be picked up and brought in for service and a replacement car will be available to you.
The opening of Castle Hill last year and Northern Beaches this month brings the number of Genesis Australia retail locations to nine, four of which are in Sydney.
Genesis operates so-called showcases in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
These are more similar to traditional retailers, while Genesis also has so-called studios – flagship locations in areas with high foot traffic – in both the Sydney and Melbourne CBDs.
Genesis currently has no studios or showcases in South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory.
After deliveries of new Genesis vehicles fell 26.9 percent in 2024, the first annual decline since their introduction here in 2019, they rose 14.4 percent in 2025.
This year, Genesis will welcome the first member of its new performance sub-brand Magma, based on the slow-selling GV60 electric crossover.
Genesis hasn’t confirmed any other new model launches for Australia this year, but testing has been spied a new flagship crossover abroad and plans to introduce Magma versions of all its vehicles.
Genesis has also confirmed that it will launch its first hybrid and range-extended electric vehicles (EREVs). The first vehicles of this type are expected to be presented later this year. The brand’s local arm has previously indicated that it would like to offer hybrid vehicles here.
