Registered Australian Mental Health Charity Motivation against depression has announced Ford Australia as an official “Event Vehicle Partner”.
The Blue Oval will support DAD’s motoring events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide by providing the charity’s team with vehicles for the rides.
Ford’s 12-month financial commitment formalizes a shared vision between the two organizations: “together to advance positive mental health outcomes.”

“We have always had a great relationship with the team at Ford Australia – they have delivered some unforgettable experiences,” said Michael Hanley, marketing and brand director at DAD.
“This expanded commitment ensures we can deliver a consistent, high-quality event experience to the entire DAD community – wherever they live or whenever they need support.”
Ben Nightingale, Ford Australia product communications manager, added: “Supporting Drive Against Depression aligns with our values and we are proud that our vehicles and support can help reach communities and talk openly about mental health.”
The Drive Against Depression events calendar is finalized for 2025. The next confirmed event is Melbourne Summer Drive Day 2026, scheduled for February 1, 2026.
Drive Against Depression hosts regular driving events and continues to build a network of mental health professionals to support the community and its mission to promote mental wellness through the freedom of driving.
In 2025, the mental health charity held ten separate events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
