The new generation Toyota HiLux has just been unveiled and a Thai entrepreneur is already putting together a conversion kit for old HiLuxes.
In these images shared by Pasit Reddevill on Facebook, we can see the process of transforming the previous HiLux – called HiLux Revo in Thailand – into the new generation model, known there as HiLux Travo.
You can see a HiLux Revo in the front and rear design of the new generation model, as well as various shots of the individual parts that were made for this transformation.

This includes everything from the lights to the bonnet and tailgate, all carefully crafted to resemble those of the new ute.
The Thai entrepreneur has not yet announced the price of the conversion; He appears to be affiliated with Bangsaen Shop, a 4×4 accessories store in Thailand that specializes in Toyota accessories.
In a comment published yesterday and translated into English, he pointed out to a commenter that there are still some parts missing before the conversion is complete.
The fact that the new HiLux isn’t all that new makes it easier to turn an old HiLux into a new one.
Not only does the Thai-built ute feature the same 2004 IMV ladder frame platform as the old one, it also features the same roof, door panels and window glass.
The 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine was also carried over with unchanged performance.
The new HiLux, which goes on sale here in December, features a heavily revised interior and, as previously mentioned, unique front and rear styling.
