Deliveries of the 2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty begin early in Australia

First customer deliveries of the Hardcore Ford Ranger Super Duty will begin earlier than planned, the Blue Oval has confirmed.

“The Ranger Super Duty is arriving ahead of schedule, with customer deliveries commencing later this year,” Ford Australia president and CEO Andrew Birkic said LinkedIn.

The more powerful Ranger was originally scheduled to launch in Australia in early 2026, having officially launched later this month.

This was announced in April 2025, before pricing for some variants was announced in July and full specifications were revealed in September.

Rather than just being a single variant, the Ranger Super Duty will be a whole family of more robust pickup and cab/chassis variants, with single cab, extended cab and crew cab body styles.

It will initially launch in cab/chassis configurations priced at $82,990 (before on-road costs).

All Ranger Super Duty models feature a 154kW/600Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and come standard with front and rear limited-slip differentials and a best-in-class braked towing capacity of 4,500kg.

The toughest Ranger ever took its name from tougher versions of Ford’s full-size American F-Series trucks – and from the first non-F-Series Ford to be nicknamed “Super Duty.” It features a stronger chassis, larger fuel tank, wider tracks, more ground clearance and eight-bolt wheels/hubs.
