A pivotal moment in Saro Spadaro’s development was in 2017 when Hurricane Irma hit Sint Maarten. Facing a crisis of devastating proportions, he chose to stay and lead from the ground – coordinating evacuations, assisting residents and launching a recovery effort that quickly restored operational capability. It was a powerful demonstration of leadership based on responsibility, determination and care for the people.
